Celebrate Civil Air Patrol’s anniversary as the organization’s 65th year draws to a close!
Held at the Palm Springs Air Museum, the event celebrates Civil Air Patrol’s anniversary and history.
Highlights include:
•Stinson flight demonstration. Come see the aircraft CAP used for subchasing in World War II!
•Heritage display of CAP uniforms and memorabilia dating back to the early days of the organization.
•Screenings of short documentary films chronicling Civil Air Patrol’s 65 years.
•Squadron 11 headquarters open house

The event is being hosted by the world-famous Palm Springs Air Museum, which is known for its extensive collection of operable World War II aircraft.
The collection includes:
•Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress
•PBY Catalina seaplane
•Bell P63 King Cobra
•North American B25 Mitchell
•Republic P47 Thunderbolt
•Grumman F4 Wildcat, F6 Hellcat, F7 Tigercat, F8 Bearcat, and Avenger.

The museum is located at 745 N. Gene Autry Trail in Palm Springs. Exit I-10 at Palm Drive/Gene Autry Trail and head south. See GoogleMap at right to access driving directions from your location.

Share Civil Air Patrol’s history with family and friends. Spend the day at the Palm Springs Air Museum or head to downtown Palm Springs for dining and shopping. Saturday night, Palm Springs’ annual Festival of Lights Parade will make its way through downtown and throughout the weekend, the annual Tamale Festival will be underway in nearby Indio.
Cost:
Museum admission is $10 and covers entry all day, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tickets for students ages 13-17 are $8.50. Youth 6-12 are $5. Children under 6 are free.

Palm Springs Air Museum sits along the back side of Palm Springs International Airport (PSP). Park at Atlantic Aviation; ground transportation to the museum will be coordinated by Squadron 11 personnel. For those flying in, please contact Lt.
